Hawksburn House

Situated in Melbourne's inner south-east, this residence in Hawksburn harmoniously integrates with its established surroundings as a connected family home. Originally built in the 1930s as a duplex, the property has been thoughtfully transformed into a unified living space. In pursuit of a more open and generous atmosphere, the design team restructured the previously confined rooms, resulting in a layout that aligns with contemporary living standards. In collaboration with Ari Alexander Design Group, Doherty Design Studio enhanced the interiors by fostering a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape and establishing significant visual lines both within and beyond the home's boundaries.
